Bangko (Jambi) – Wakil bupati (Wabup) Merangin H Mashuri kemarin (25/9), membuka acara dialog publik, bertema stop tindak kekerasan seksual dan pernikahan diusia anak-anak.
Dialog yang diikuti utusan pelajar dari sejumlah SMA sederajat dan organisasi kepemudaan itu, berlangsung di Aula Bappeda Merangin. ‘’Saya sangat memberikan apresiasi terhadap kegiatan ini,’’ujar Wabup.
Dialog yang digelar dalam rangka perayaan Hari Kesehatan Seksual Internasional 2018 itu jelas Wabup, bertujuan untuk menekan terjadinya kasus pernikahan dini.
Untuk mencegah terjadinya kekerasan seksual lanjut wabup, merupakan tugas seluruh lapisan masyarakat. ‘’Mari kita dorong anak-anak kita untuk melakukan kegiatan hal-hal yang positif, mulai dari rumah hingga di sekolah,’’pinta Wabup.
Kepada wali murid wabup minta, untuk selalu mengontrol aktivitas handphone anak-anaknya. Jangan sampai teknologi yang semakin pesat sekarang ini, disalahgunakan oleh anak-anak.
Pada kesempatan itu, wabup berterima kasih kepada panitia penggerak, sehingga terlaksananya acara tersebut. Digelarnya dialog itu, wabup berharap kedepannya tidak terjadi lagi kasus kekerasan seksual dan pernikahan usia dini.
Diacara itu juga dilakukan pengukuhan pengurus Aliansi Perempuan Merangin (APM). Wabup berharap APM bisa bekerja aktif, sehingga kasus-kasus kekerasan seksual dan pernihakan usia dini bisa terkikis habis Merangin.
